The latest tyre in Maxxis long line of XC tyres that have already won a World Cup race. The RekonRace succeeded in doing so already as a prototype almost a year before the start of the series with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne.This fast semi slick tyre has a similar profile as the allround XC tyre Rekon, but with smaller and lower cleats.Use it as a rear tire together with a more heavily treaded tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front wheel. Or front and rear for short track races and easy fast race courses. EXO PROTECTIONThis extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. Therefore the performance of the tires remains convincingly good. DUALCOMPOUNDTwo different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. Maxxis plans the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tyres.
